As you all know, I always look forward to seeing that pink envelope in my mailbox. It breaks up the monotony of my day. I enjoy getting the ipsy bag because I get to try out new products that I may’ve otherwise not picked up. I also get items that I have been wanting to try but couldn’t decide if the investment was worth it. This month I got a very nice variety of face products, hair care, and tools. Which I will show you below!

But first, I want to share with you this month’s theme for the bag. The theme is being bold! The little postcard showcases the quote “The question isn’t who is going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me”. I love this because in life we shouldn’t wait for people to grant us permission to live out our dreams but rather who could stop us? (Answer: Only you can stop yourself from living your best life!)
Now let’s talk beauty!

How cute is this makeup bag? I absolutely love it. With the flirty eyelashes and gold metallic bottom boarder, this little bag has become an instant favorite for me. Its design is so simple but bold at the same time that I think I could use this as a cute little clutch for when I go out with friends! How would you use? Comment down below!

Not only is the bag cute on the inside but it also has this amazing hot pink/magenta liner inside that really screams BOLD. Talk about beautiful on the inside… this bag even has a cute little tag that says “Rules were made to be broken”. Yes they were.

My hair can misbehave and get frizzy so I am really excited to try this product out. I don’t use heat styling tools and I like to let my hair air dry because I am trying to grow out my hair and let it heal from years of dying (uh oh I know). I think that I will work in some product into my damp hair after a shower and brush my hair and put it in a bun and see if it helps to keep my natural beach waves from getting frizzy. (Fingers crossed!)

I really wanted to like this shade because it looks so beautiful in the packaging but it came on too pink for me. I am going to play around with it and see if maybe I can get it to work. I think that if you are someone who is more fair skinned than me (I’m an olive tan complexation with gold undertones) or loves really pink blush, you will love this.

This bronzer is a beautiful color but it is way too shimmery and glittery for this woman! I will definitely keep this and use it as an eyeshadow but I will not be purchasing this. I prefer more matte and softer powders that are closer to natural skin colors. If you are looking for a glitzy and fun bronzer you might like this product.

This was another one of those shades that I really wanted to love. It looks so beautiful, matte, and neutral which are right up my alley! I am a tan and olive complexion and this lipstick shade “Incognito” did not do me any favors. I did find that if I mixed Jordana’s lip liner “Baby Berry” I could create a very sexy (In my opinion) ombre effect that fits the evening or fall time. Alone it does not work for me but again with a little help, I made it work. If you are on the fairer side of the spectrum, I think this color could look phenomenal on you. OH! Also if you have dry lips make sure to moisturize with some lip balm before application.

Okay, so I don’t like to get political but here it is… I am a Marvel girl. I am not as interested in the DC comic universe as I am into the Marvel universe but above all I am a feminist. I will watch anything where we have a strong and intelligent female heroine/lead. (Although we still have a way to go as far as plot lines and costume designs… another story for another day!) I am also a huge fan of LUXIE BEAUTY brushes since I am obsessed with brushes! (It may or may not have to do with the fact that I use all of my brushes before I wash them… I know gross…I’m working on it!) So needless to say I am a huge fan of the DC LUXIE BEAUTYxWonder Woman collaboration. The brush bristles are so soft and fluffy and the tapered out shape is perfect for inner eye corners and for highlighting the tip of my nose. ( It’s also cruelty-free! <3)
